In 2020, we started a humble online shop which housed a variety of products from babywear and mummy essentials to kitchen must-haves and skincare products. Our goal was to ease the online shopping experience for parents in the region.

In our efforts to achieve this goal we realized a huge gap in quality products for kids in terms of educational and informative toys that are both useful and enjoyable. Therefore, we sought to source only the best toys for kids that can nurture their growth instead of simply waste their valuable time. This is when Maryam, founder of My Home Closet, met with Sara Al Saadi, educator and founder of Storybook. After years of working with adults, Sara decided to obtain a career with children. Her passion for child wellbeing and education can be traced back to when she had her first baby in 2014, where she spent significant time working on reading and researching topics in child psychology and behaviour. As an educator, she specializes in learning through play for the early years.

Following a few discussions between Maryam and Sara, they quickly realized how intertwined our goals and missions are for the future of our kids. Thus, the partnership between My Home Closet and Storybook blossomed! It is a great pleasure to collaborate with Storybook on this initiative as we know how dedicated their team is to shed light on the importance of learning through play.

Through this partnership, we aim to bring kids everywhere an array of toys that will be beneficial for their growth as well as entertaining for them to enjoy their playtime. As part of this collaboration, we are introducing a series of informative videos with Sara Al Saadi on our social platforms. The first video is now live (watch it on our Instagram today), where Sara explains briefly about Storybook and demonstrates an example of learning through play via our Magnetic Wood Puzzle.
